The Deadly Costs of Transgendersim

Last year, the UK approved a list of 63 specific genders and distributed it to all public schools in Great Britain requiring educators to follow these guidelines. ABC, here in the US, argued there were really only 58 genders, and then finally conceded to the 63 under pressure from the five genders feeling they were being ignored and discriminated against.

Of the 63 genders, three kinds of people can have menstrual cycles: women, in the traditional sense, women who are transitioning into men, but still have their periods, and the third category – men transitioning into women who carry feminine hygiene products in their purses to pretend they are indeed menstruating. I hate to say this, but any man that wants to pretend he’s having a period is truly bonkers.

This is a social pathology. This is a lie. Science tells us there are only two genders and only one of those is able to have a menstrual cycle – by definition; by agreed upon terms; by what is true.

There’s a lot of chatter these days about transgenderism. This term describes a person whose sense of personal identity and gender does not correspond with his/her birth sex. More explicitly – how s/he was originally designed in the womb.

I used to teach college semantics. The first week of class we looked at definitions and tried to answer these two simple questions: How does society determine the meaning of words? And, How are dictionaries formed or developed? Now, my husband Daryl told me if I started talking about definitions, lexicons, and semantics, everyone listening to this podcast would go into a coma. That’s not what I want, but I do want to lay a basic foundation for how we know, what we know and how we can know what we know is TRUE.

This is a big deal, because if speakers of a common language don’t agree on a definition, communication is not only hindered, but it becomes pure chaos.

I think we see examples of that in current events, like the university professor who was fired for calling people by their last names and deleting pronouns completely from his conversation. I say he’s brilliant. Avoid the whole mess all together, but students complained, he stood his ground and was eventually fired. This was at Shawnee State University in Ohio.

Chaos is happening in regards to women’s sports. I did a podcast on that a few days ago. Defining male and female is a BIG deal when men want to compete in women’s sports, and in my opinion, they’re doing it for the gold. To win, because they know that in certain sports, men can perform women.

So, people communicating in the same language must have an agreed upon definition of terms in order for true communication to take place. In my classes we looked at terms that are rapidly changing in society—words such as marriage, gender, euthanasia.

Society, political movements, governments, and even the general population of a specific language group are debating and redefining terms every day. For example, pro-abortion became a term people were unhappy with so they changed it to pro-choice–trying to lose the negative connotation.

In North America, Indian became an inappropriate term and now we say First Nation People, or Native Americans.

Definitions are important and terms really do matter, especially when you are looking for TRUTH.

It is also important to note that science is a good basis when defining terms.

All the hormone therapy and surgeries in the world won’t change the basic DNA distinctives between the two genders. For instance, when Bruce Jenner dies, his body will decompose and one day, he’ll just be a pile of ashes or dust and DNA. What will his DNA say about him? What would scientists discover about him looking at his remains? They’d identify him as an over 70-year-old, Caucasian male, and if his skeletal remains are there, they can guess his height.

You see, no matter how many surgeries, how much hormone therapy, or how much he declares his femininity…Bruce Jenner, according to his DNA and chromosome count, is still scientifically, genetically, and physically a man. This may sound melodramatic and a bit over-the-top, but I believe very strongly that when society begins the deconstruction of terms and definitions, it is to the demise of that society.

Language matters. God spoke the worlds into existence (Genesis 1; Hebrews 11). Jesus is called the Word (John 1). Man’s first duty was to name the animals—again, language and definitions.

Our fallen world is broken and we see that in the disorder around us. Things are not as they were meant to be. Death, sickness, disease, famine—all of these are a result of a fallen world. This was not the way God planned it.

Here’s my point, and just like a well-sharpened pencil, I have one.

TRANSGENDERISM is the process by which fallen human beings ask the question straight out of Romans 9:20, “Why did you make me like this?” It is the creation raising a fist to God and saying, “I am not the way You created me!” It is saying to the Creator, You made a mistake and I am going to fix it. You were wrong and now I will make it right.

However, I believe the real problem with transgenderism is sin; simply not wanting to surrender to God.

We all were born broken on one way or another. I was born a liar. I lied all the time and I’d rather lie than tell the truth, even if the truth was better. Lying was a part of my old nature, until I asked Christ come in and fix me and cleanse me and I allowed Him to create in me a new heart, to make me a new person, a new creation.

My husband Daryl says he was born a luster. He struggled with lust and lusted after women and he had to give that lust over to God and cry out, “Make me new! Fix me.” Because all of these issues, transgender, homosexuality, lying, lust, selfishness—they’re all just sin and part of our sin nature. They are all symptoms of our brokeness.

As followers of Jesus we’re commanded to die to ourselves, but not everyone is a follower of Jesus. I know, but the point is, just because people don’t follow Christ, doesn’t mean that TRUTH CEASES TO EXIST.

Part of our job is to be salt and light and sometimes that means we need to look at something as say, “Hey that’s false” or “That’s true.”

You see, human beings’ skewed sense of right and wrong comes from our sinful natures. Perhaps you believe transgender issues are mental health issues, could be, but I think for the most part it’s a spirit of rebellion, it’s a sinful nature telling a Holy God, You don’t know what you’re talking about. And sinful human beings take the reins and our entire world goes upside down.

According to Walt Heyer, a man who regrets his own transgender surgery, in his book Trans-life Survivors, over 30 percent of transgender people admit regret of transitioning; 41 percent attempt suicide after the surgery, and at least 60 percent suffer from some kind of mental breakdown afterwards.

Suicide and regret,” he writes, “remain the dark side of transgender life.”

Even Bruce Jenner, in an open conversation (and a transparent moment), said he regretted the surgery and wakes up oftentimes not knowing who he really is anymore. I do think it is a struggle for people who’ve had the surgery—not being happy with themselves afterwards.

In truth, there is only one thing that can quench the longing of our broken souls and empty hearts and that is a right relationship with Christ Jesus.

Here are some facts that should be shouted from the rooftops. Because of politics and Left-leaning ideologies, there’s a charade going on and it’s to push society’s transgender agenda. If society actually cared about these individuals and cared about truth they would broadcast the plethora of information coming from studies saying this transgender surgery is dangerous!

Sweden has been doing transgender surgery since the 1970s. Sweden is pro transgender surgery; they are one of the first countries to do these types of surgeries. So, they decided to do a long-term study of transgender males and females. Here are their findings:

  1. Suicide Rates Among Transgenders Do Not Decrease Due to Sex-Change Surgery. The suicide rates among transgenders do not drop after surgery. 41 percent of transgender people attempt suicide sometime in their life; just 4.6 percent of the rest of the population does. That’s about ten times more likely to commit suicide that their peers.
  1. Most Children Grow Out Of Transgender Feelings. Dr. Paul McHugh, former head of psychiatry at Johns Hopkins University, found that 70 to 80 percent of all children with transgender feelings grow out of it.

This is important because the media has already told parents that children confused about their sex should consider whether they are transgender and have the surgery before puberty!

But if you’ve got a kid who is longing for attention and craving affection, what a great way to get all eyes on him. Kids don’t know what they want to be!! Ask most kids what they want to be at the age of 9 and they want to be a superhero or a cat. Their brains are not fully developed and we cannot hand them boxes too heavy to carry!! Boxes like “deciding if you want to be a boy or a girl!”

  1. Transgender Regret Is Very Real. Both Sweden’s 33 year study and Walt Heyer’s research discovered that, “Gender surgery is not an effective treatment for depression, anxiety or mental disorders.”

Consider the findings of the Swedish study published in 2011, it looked at mortality and morbidity after gender reassignment surgery and found that people who changed genders had a higher risk of not only suicide, but mental illness and could not sustain long-term relationships.

In this study, all the sex-reassigned persons in Sweden from 1973–2003 (191 male-to-females, 133 female-to-males) were compared to a random control group. The sex-reassigned persons had substantially higher rates of death from cardiovascular disease, infections, and suicide. The study concluded: Gender surgery is not effective treatment for depression, anxiety, or any mental disorder.

Bruce Jenner showed early signs of Transgender Regret. He writes, “I went into the long hallway and paced back and forth on the dark wood floor, where not even the footsteps made a sound. The panic attack lasted about 15 minutes, but a single thought continued to course through my mind: ‘What did I just do? What did I just do to myself?’”

A counselor from the Los Angeles Gender Center went to Jenner’s house so Jenner could talk to someone about his regrets. The counselor assured Jenner that such reactions were often induced by the pain medication. Jenner writes, “The thought passed and yet often returns. There is such thing as buyer’s remorse. Not that it matters anyway, because there is no turning back.”

In Mary Shelley’s book, Frankenstein, Dr. Frankenstein muses, “Nothing is so painful to the human mind as a great and sudden change.” Rather prophetic of Shelley.

Society and our culture have only one narrative: gender is a choice and it is malleable. But truth, science, and Scripture teaches us differently. Each individual struggling with the idea “I’ve been born in the wrong body” is being self-focused and in bondage the fallen nature.

That’s the bad news.

But the Good News is that we ALL can be free from this skewed vision of things. We ALL can be set free to be exactly who we were designed to be by God. Ephesians 2:10, “We are God’s workmanship, His masterpiece, created in Christ Jesus to do good works which HE designed beforehand that we should walk in them.” By surrendering our lives to Christ, we are able to defeat the lies of the enemy and live a new life in Christ. Jesus said, “Behold I make all things new.”

If my DNA says I am a woman and my chromosomes say I am a woman, then I am a woman.

Through Christ Jesus and the work of the Holy Spirit in our lives we can live the life Christ designed for each of us. We can have victory through Christ Jesus and the finished work of the Cross. We all can. Second Corinthians 5:17, “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here!”

No matter what our fallen natures tell us, no matter what our old lives may have been—lust-filled, deceitful, stealing, addiction, fear, abusive, violent—we can become what Christ intended us to be! And that image is always aligned with God’s Word.

Life isn’t fair. I wish it was. We are all born to a world of struggle and woe. But Christ is our hope and we have a promise of better things to come. I always try to encourage parents of children who say they are “transgender,” not to let the enemy have those kids; not to surrender to whatever society is trying to tell you. Even mental health professionals are imbibing the lie about gender. Don’t surrender to this lie. There really is only two genders, And God created them, male and female. Peace.

Oh, how I appreciate the truth you declare on this blog! You are 100% right and on-target, and I could not agree more. I have never heard such stupidity and nonsense as what people are buying into today. Every, single answer can be found in God’s Word. You make such a good point that the root of all of this is downright rebellion and trying to tell God that He made a mistake. I don’t know how He suffers so long with people and has such abundant mercy when they shake their fists in His face like that. Thank you for speaking the truth and crying out against the blatancy of such sin. God bless you.
